Stylenoir.co.uk ran a wee opinion piece (I mean, ‘news’ article) on this new Barbie. I have my own opinion. Unfortunately, stylenoir.co.uk don’t have a comment function on this story. So I’m tumblin’.

I think perhaps describing the outfit as horrific is a step too far. Cat-woman wears a similar garb, no? What precisely is the issue here? Is it the fact that latex is a skin tight fabric? Because I would consider the short skirts and dresses more traditional Barbies come with to be more provocative. Latex is not evil. (No, no, it’s fabulous). I think the horrendous part is more to do with the price point (£100) & the fact that a children’s toy is endorsing designer consumerism.
